Curacao Day 4

"I'm leaving on a jet plane, don’t know when I’ll be back again.” — John Denver

Today was departure day. While I’m so grateful to live in a place people vacation, which makes coming home feel a little less sad, it’s still hard to leave my co-workers and vacation life behind, even when it’s technically work vacation life.

The good news was that I still had a few hours left at the resort and plenty of time to say my goodbyes. Plus, our agency’s Cruise Forum was coming up in mid-July, so it would only be a few weeks until I saw some of these people again.

First up was breakfast at the buffet. As expected, I found the customized omelette station and headed there immediately. Once I got back to my table, I completed my beverage goblin status with water, Diet Coke, and a mimosa. Truly, the perfect send-off breakfast.

After breakfast, we took one last stroll around the resort. Since we still had time before our airport transfer and needed to be out of our rooms, we stopped back at The Strand for a few final drinks before heading out.

The trip back to Orlando was smooth. I had a layover in Miami, ate at my favorite chicken place, and made it home in time for sleep and work the next day.
