Bambi Disneybounds

“So I’d like to suggest that we all do our best and warble a song about spring” – Let’s Sing a Gay Little Spring Song (Bambi)

What is Disneybounding? If you're new to the term, Disneybounding is the act of dressing in outfits inspired by Disney characters—without wearing a costume. Think regular clothes styled in a way that hints at the character through color, silhouette, or accessories.

For this series, I’ve added my own twist: I’m only using items I already have in my closet. No new purchases allowed! When I used to Disneybound more often, I spent so much trying to get the perfect accessories that I rarely wore again. So this time, I’m embracing creativity and shopping my own closet.

As a bonus, since I have a clothing boutique, about 97% of the items I own are from there. That means I can link you directly to the pieces in case you want to recreate the look. If any of the links don’t work, feel free to reach out to me via email or social media so I can fix them!

Bambi
This one was tough because I don’t have much brown in my wardrobe. Any time I need something brown, I always reach for my Lucille cardigan, it’s become my go-to. Since I was short on deeper tones, I pulled in yellow to represent Bambi’s lighter accents.

Thumper
Thumper might be made of neutral colors, but his personality is anything but neutral. I wanted this outfit to reflect that by layering a few different shades and textures to show his energy and depth.

Flower
This one came together so easily! I knew I’d be doing something with black and white for Flower, but I didn’t realize I already had a floral dress that tied in perfectly with his name. A little skunk-inspired, a little soft and sweet, this Disneybound was made for spring in Florida.
