I kicked off the day with some room service breakfast while admiring my room views. Shortly after that, we were off to explore. We weren’t sure what the day had in store, but we were told to wear swimsuits and comfortable walking shoes, so we knew it would be a mix of adventure and water.

Our day started with a tour of ancient ruins that offered absolutely stunning views.

From there, we got to experience some hands-on cultural activities, including learning about local traditions and making a tortilla, which I’ll be the first to admit I was very bad at.

We wrapped up the tour with a refreshing swim in a cenote. The water was chilly, but after being out in the hot sun all day, it felt amazing. It was such a fun and memorable way to end the excursion.

Back at the resort, we hung out in the pool until it was time for our next activity, a tequila tasting at Maxal on resort property. This ended up being one of the highlights of the day, full of laughter and fun facts.

After the tasting, we had dinner right there at Maxal, the Mexican Chophouse on property. Like the night before, we ended our day at Azulinda Lobby Bar, unwinding with good company until the sun and the schedule finally caught up with us.
