Curacao Day 2
“Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue.” – Over the Rainbow (Judy Garland)
I woke up this morning and took full advantage of the included room service. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a sucker for a customized omelette, and this one did not disappoint.
After breakfast, I headed to our Sandals training. We got all the latest updates from Sandals and Beaches, including ways we can better help our clients customize their vacations.
After training, we broke into groups for a resort tour. This was especially helpful since I hadn’t had much time to explore the night before. We toured several rooms, found the dining locations, visited the spa, and got to see the wedding office. The highlight was definitely the wedding cake tasting.
After the resort tour, I went to lunch with some co-agents at The Strand, right on the beach.
Then it was time to swim. I love a pool with a swim-up bar, and apparently everyone else does too, because I saw lots of familiar faces there. The pool had lots of group activities going like music trivia and many crowd participation things. As much as I enjoy music trivia, I kept myself and my blue drink far away!
For dinner, I met up with a group at Gatsu Gatsu, which means “to devour” in Japanese. We dined outside with a water view and had the best time laughing and catching up with friends. I had the Crispy Chicken Kara Age for my appetizer and the Beef Tenderloin Ishiyaki for my entree, which was served as a hot rock dish. I will say, ordering that did take a while since so many of us at a long table got it, and each one takes up most of a two-top table.
After dinner, I stopped by the lobby briefly to hang out, but then it was off to bed because I was exhausted.
