Dumbo Disneybounds

“But technicolor pachyderms

Is really too much for me” — Pink Elephants on Parade (Dumbo)

What is Disneybounding?  For those that are unaware, Disneybounding is the act of dressing in an outfit that represents a Disney character without wearing a true costume, but regular clothes.

My twist on Disneybounding for this series is I’m only using clothes that I already have in my closet and not buying anything new!  When I used to be into Disneybounding, I spent a lot on the perfect accessories to go with the characters and I usually never use the pieces again, so this will add another layer of challenge to the mix!  For those that don’t know, I have a clothing boutique and 97% of the clothes in my closet are from there, so I’ll be able to link to the pieces. NOTE: If any of these links aren’t working – please message me via email or social media links so I can fix them!

Dumbo: I knew grey was going to be the made shade of this outfit.  I did yellow shoes to represent the ruffle that Dumbo sometimes wears and a headband to represent that magic feather.

Mrs. Jumbo: I thought it might be hard to differentiate Mrs. Jumbo from Dumbo, but was pleased to notice her pink and blue color palette in her covering so I used that as inspiration to change up this look from the Dumbo outfit.

Timothy Mouse: An animal sidekick is usually my favorite part of a Disney movie, so I knew I was determined to do a Timothy Mouse bound.  I do not have a lot of brown in my wardrobe, so I struggled to find pieces that could bring together his colors, but I did the best I could!
